AI inside Railbase workflows
Give an agent a bounded role, approved knowledge and a verifiable outcome.

Railbase agents participate in authorised workflows. An agent profile identifies its purpose; each run is bounded by the current process, permissions, knowledge policy and usage budget. Ordinary deterministic workflows continue without AI.
What an agent may do
A supported Product may supply a specialist that reviews scoped material, produces a draft or proposes a declared action. A recommendation does not itself change a business record. An action requires the platform's permission, evidence, policy and commit checks; required human decisions remain part of the same workflow.
Activation has several prerequisites
Connecting a model is only one prerequisite. The exact Product release must supply the supported agent and compatible model, knowledge and verification evidence. Company grants, approved provider settings, processing locations and budgets must also permit the run. Unavailable prerequisites keep the affected AI action unavailable.
Knowledge and privacy
Retrieval uses permitted document versions and scope. Missing, stale or conflicting required knowledge stops the run or hands it to a person. External providers receive only the allowed context under the configured policy; self-hosting Railbase does not make a cloud model local.
Local models still need compatible, evaluated configuration and sufficient infrastructure. Voice availability requires the supported local speech assets and browser acceptance; it is not implied by a model connection.
Control the run
People can inspect the authorised workflow result and history. Cancellation is a server-side lifecycle command, not just closing a conversation. Usage limits can stop new runs; permission or entitlement revocation cannot be bypassed by a late model response. A new authorised attempt does not rewrite earlier history.
Cross-company or remote delegation needs its own approved exchange contract. Conversation text cannot grant access, transfer authority or create an unrestricted background agent.
